CONSERVATION MANAGEMENT PLAN
2018
In 2018, Design 5 – Architects was commissioned to prepare a comprehensive Conservation Management Plan to identify and assess the cultural significance of Dyraaba Station, and to prepare conservation policies and guidelines for the ongoing management of the place and future change.
Currently Dyraaba Station is used as a private home with some pastoral use in the form of cattle grazing. The place is often used for family gatherings and celebrations, and occasionally opened for specific interest groups. The present owners purchased the property because of its distinct historic and aesthetic qualities and wish to ensure these values are retained and respected into the future. They commissioned this report to ensure all values were properly researched and understood, and to formulate conservation policies to guide and assist them in its ongoing conservation and management. Preparation of this CMP has been made possible by a ‘Heritage Near Me’ grant from the NSW Government, awarded in 2018.
